Back pain due to slip disc and constant stress

I joined Dahn Yoga about 3 months back. It was my 3rd occurance of slip disc pain which had me in bed for a week. I decided to take my health more seriously and start taking care of myself. When I joined the class I could not bend, could not lift a gallon of milk or more than 5lbs, my feet would be swollen all the time and basically I had no strength or energy. After 2 weeks of continous yoga class I feel so much relief. I am pain free, have more energy and feel much more happy. I am on the road to self transformation, to be stress free, to take care of myself, love myself and enjoy life. Its about time I think of myself first. The road is long and my journey has started. I want to thank my instructor, Won Jon, who is full of kindness and support.

Faith, hope, love and cancer recovery

With 7 weeks of Radiation ahead of me, I decided to investigate Yoga. I had read several studies about exercise and cancer recovery and MD Anderson in Houston offers yoga classes. I signed up for an introductory session at Body and Brain, in The Woodlands, and have been doing Holistic healing sessions ever since. I had the strength to complete daily Radiation while working full time. I even packed and moved at the same time! No it wasn't easy, but I am convinced that without Maureen, the head instructor, and Dahn Yoga, I would not be where I am today. I feel better than I have felt in several years and have the energy, most days, to do anything that I want or need to do.

Time For Healing
