Rockville Body & Brain Yoga Center

Rockville Body & Brain Yoga Center has been in the same location for 20 years.  We have about 75 members and 2 instructors who are working together to take care of the member's improvement.

All instructors are well trained to provide Holistic Healing and Coaching to members using Yoga, Tai Chi, Meditation, Chakra Breathing and various Healing and Awakening Workshops.

We give individual coaching to each member to help them achieve the results they wish to accomplish.


Joanne Steller
Joanne Steller, Rockville senior instructor, has taught for Body and Brain Yoga | Tai Chi in its studios since 2007 and throughout the region in workplaces, schools, at community events, and health fairs. She serves as part of Rockville’s member care team, providing personalized self-help guidance in class and through individual consultations. She has certification as a Dahn Master and Instructor as well as in Body and Brain courses on holistic healing, successful aging, and workplace wellness.
Christine Tetrault
Christine is an instructor at Rockville Body& Brain Yoga. During her professional career, her desire to help improve the lives of the people around her led her to specialize in working with non-profit agencies serving the needs of the homeless, the mentally ill and special needs students. She has been a Reiki Master and student of Natural Healing for over 30 years. When she came to Body and Brain Yoga, she discovered what she believes is the last piece of the puzzle to empower herself and others to truly heal their bodies, emotions, and spirits before resorting to unnecessary drugs and invasive medical procedures. Her genuine love of people and insight into how we work make her a talented healer, intuitive consultant, and coach for growth and personal empowerment. She is teaching Yoga, Chakra Breathing, Aura Healing & Chakra Healing, Spiritual Healing and Meditation.
Romina Donolo
Romina Donolo is a licensed Body & Brain Yoga/Tai Chi instructor. She has been teaching classes in Gaithersburg Body & Brain Yoga/Tai Chi branch about one year. She is specialized in kid yoga and meditation. She has ability to train kids to calm their mind and focus. She is teaching classes for adults in Brettonwood Recreation center. She taught and is teaching kid yoga at Episcopal Elementary School, Summer Camp at Center City Charter Public School, Rachel Carson Elementary School, Rosa’s Day Care and Gaithersburg Body & Brain Yoga center.
She took Yoga, Tai Chi instructor course, Brain Management Training, Dahn Master Course, Holistic Healing Course. She can provide individual health coaching and various group classes like Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation and Brain Education for children and adults.
Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our seasoned instructors!


Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include, Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relaxes your body and mind and helps you to recover your center and get grounded. 

Tai Chi ( TAI )

Tai Chi incorporates slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a low-impact martial art with amazing benefits.
