ABOUT ARLINGTON CENTER
About Arlington Center

Arlington Center offers yoga, tai chi, and meditation focusing on restoring healthy energy flow in the body.  Programs include group classes, workshops, retreats, and personal care to help you unblock and revive the natural healing system within you.  

We encourage our practitioners to trust their body’s innate wisdom and therefore do not require a high degree of flexibility, balance, or strength to follow our basic exercises. Our classes accommodate people of ALL ages, body types, and fitness levels to participate comfortably at their own pace.   

Our motto is personal care and education.  No matter where you begin, we will do our best to guide you step by step as you move through various stages of energy development and self-mastery.

Instructors
Cho Greenwater
Cho began his practice with Body & Brain 20 years ago. He has been a regional director and center manager in a number of cities nationwide including Seattle, Las Vegas, and Atlanta. For many years he was on Body & Brain's National Education Team, where he led national workshops like Brain Management Training at retreat centers in Sedona, Arizona and Ellenville, New York. He currently oversees all four centers in the Boston area. He teaches classes at the Arlington Center, leads many regional workshops and seminars and provides personal healing sessions.
Elise Kerrigan
Elise moved to Boston in 2007 to pursue a law degree. After successfully graduating and passing the Massachusetts Bar Exam, she decided to leave the legal field and became a Body & Brain instructor in 2013. She found that Body & Brain's combination of movement, energy and spiritual principles complemented her love of philosophy and extensive background in dance and gymnastics. For Elise, Body & Brain has led to magnificent personal awakenings and growth. She is so excited to work with you as your personal journey of growth unfolds.
Courtney Lindop
Courtney’s first love was animals, which taught her about compassion, patience and appreciation for life. Her Scottish heritage gave her an experience of loyalty and respect for nature. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art, Courtney began searching for ways to create a more harmonious earth. For the past five years with Body & Brain Yoga and as a certified Crystal Healer she has dedicated her life to helping others awaken to their true value and appreciation for all living beings.
Meghan Bliss
Meghan is the newest Body and Brain instructor and is so excited to meet you! You'll find her at the Arlington center Thursday-Saturday. Fresh outta college, Meghan spent her last few years expressing herself through song in a competitive a cappella group. If you're in the mood to duet, she's your girl! Having trained rigorously as a runner and attained a degree and license in nursing, Meghan has dedicated a great amount of time exploring health and healing in today's society. Absolutely nothing she has come across has shown to be as holistic and powerfully transformative as practicing here at Body and Brain. Join us and come to feel why!
WHAT WE OFFER
About Our Classes

We recommend arriving 10-minutes before the scheduled class time for warm-ups.  

Classes are typically 75 minutes plus time afterward to share tea and reflection.  

While class type varies, all of our classes will include a combination of stretching, breathing and meditation.  

 

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our experienced instructors!

 

Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement, this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound, you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relax your body and mind and recover your center to ground your energy. 

Tai Chi ( TAI )

Tai Chi incorporates slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a low-impact martial art with amazing benefits.

Yoga and Ki-gong ( YNK )

This class is a combination of the regular class with a focus on Ki-gong for those who want to get the best of both worlds. You will get your mind and body feeling free and centered as Ki-gong is a powerful training, which helps with energy accumulation, focus, and relaxation.
