Our mission at Body and Brain is to empower individuals by activating the brain's natural ability to create health and happiness. We believe in the significance of self-change and its direct contribution to the health of others. Our mind-body practices and principles reflect our continuous commitment to benefit each individual and all life on Earth.

Since Opening in 2005, we have offered energy yoga, Taichi, Kigong, Meditation and Breathing classes to help individuals release stress and learn how to balance their body and brain. 

Our focus in our training is low impact physical exercises and mindfulness to promote natural healing from within. 

Benefits of our yoga include but are not limited to: pain relief, stress relief, peace of mind, weight management, better sleep, improved focus/memory, flexibility, balance, emotional stability, and increased self-confidence. 

Instructors
Belt Line Master Yoosoo
Master Yoosoo has been practicing Body & Brain Yoga for over 20 years such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Meridian Yoga and Qi Meditation. She holds a Black Belt in DahnMuDo martial arts and is a certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer.

About our class

Body & Brain Yoga Tai-Chi is a comprehensive and powerful system of movement and energy medicine form that is derived from the ancient tradition of breathing technique, movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate the life energy, Qi.

Movements with deep stretching, twisting and joint rotation will improve circulation, alignment and balance. These movements stimulate the body’s energy pathway, call meridians.

Breathing technique is based on energy system of the human body to develop and strengthen the core and body immune system.

Through meditation, people can learn to relax and shift their focus away from busy through enhanced energy awareness.  

 

We recommend arriving 10-minutes before the scheduled class time for warm-ups.  

Classes are typically 70 minutes plus time afterward to share tea and reflection.  

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our experienced instructors!

 

Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement, this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound, you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relax your body and mind and recover your center to ground your energy. 

Tai Chi and Ki gong ( TNK )

Tai Chi & Ki Gong combines slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a very low-impact exercise with amazing benefits.
