What do we do?

Brookline Center offers yoga, tai chi, and meditation to restore healthy energy flow in the body to make the mind and body connection strong.  Programs include group classes, workshops, retreats, and personal care to help you unblock and revive the natural healing system within you.  

Body & Brain combines ancient eastern philosophies with modern western theories. Through simple exercises, breathing and meditation you can receive clarity of the mind, health of the body and balance your emotions.

Courtney Lindop
Courtney has been teaching B&B methods for 5 years and is the Center Manager of Brookline. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2009 and before becoming an instructor she worked with animals and volunteered at Franklin Park Zoo. Courtney began searching for ways to create more harmony in her life when she found found Body & Brain Yoga. She now specializes in helping people with depression and anxiety disorders through simple mind/body training exercises and emotional mapping techniques. Her training methods are honest, precise and delivered with compassion with the goal to bring one into their own power. She discovered taking care of the earth starts with taking care of each other!
Meghan Bliss
Meghan is the newest Body and Brain instructor and is so excited to meet you! Fresh outta college, Meghan spent her last few years expressing herself through song in a competitive a cappella group. If you're in the mood to duet, she's your girl! Having trained rigorously as a runner and attained a degree and license in nursing, Meghan has dedicated a great amount of time exploring health and healing in today's society. Absolutely nothing she has come across has shown to be as holistic and powerfully transformative as practicing here at Body and Brain. Join us and come to feel why!
About our Classes

We recommend arriving 10-minutes before the scheduled class time for warm-ups.  Classes are typically 65 minutes plus time afterward to share tea and reflection.  

While class type varies, all of our classes will include a combination of stretching, breathing and meditation to improve, flexibility, balance, toning and relaxation with stress relief. 

'Power Brain' Yoga for Kids ( PBK )

One key to the success of Power Brain training is that it utilizes a harmonious, collaborative learning environment co-created by healthy, happy and engaged students along with the Power Brain instructors. It helps develop children physically with yoga and tai chi training within an environment which places highest value on character development and social-emotional wellness.

The students will benefit by increasing their physical power and mental power, as well as, emotional regulation. Each class is designed to strengthen the body, balance brain function and awaken latent brain potential. The classes are fun, engaging and help foster a sense of cooperation between the students.

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our experienced instructors!


Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement, this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound, you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relax your body and mind and recover your center to ground your energy. 

Meditation ( M )

This class will guide you through a deep energy meditation so that you can calm and center your mind.

Tai Chi ( TAI )

Tai Chi incorporates slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a low-impact martial art with amazing benefits.

Yoga and Ki-gong ( YNK )

This class is a combination of the regular class with a focus on Ki-gong for those who want to get the best of both worlds. You will get your mind and body feeling free and centered as Ki-gong is a powerful training, which helps with energy accumulation, focus, and relaxation.

We will experience neuroplasticity and mindfulness training to enhance physical, emotional and cognitive health. These exercises are for anyone, children and adults, who would like to improve their own health, share with their families, or teachers who can incorporate these lessons right into the classroom.
