Golden Body & Brain's Mission Statement

Instructors
Maxine Wagoner
Maxine is the owner/instructor @ Golden Body & Brain Yoga & Taichi. She has been a Body & Brain Instructor since 2010. Her training is in both Yoga & Taichi. She has had training in Korea, New York and Sedona with Grand Master Ilchi Lee and Manwol Daesunsanim. She has certification in Brain Education from IBREA (International Brain Education Association) Foundation and attends yearly upgrade training's in Sedona for both Yoga and Taichi. She has also achieved her 1st degree black belt in DahnMuDo Martial Arts training from Master Euygo Lee. Maxine instructs many of the classes.
Karen Keeran
Karen is a Body & Brain Dahn Master who instructs occasionally @ Golden Body & Brain. She also instructs Yoga & Taichi and is currently doing an outreach class for Jefferson County NAMI (National Alliance on Mental illness)
Lynden Bridges
Lynden is Golden Body & Brain's Martial Arts Instructor and Egoscue Postural Alignment Specialist. He is currently teaching DahnMuDo (martial arts) on Thursday evening @ 7:00 pm and alignment yoga on Tuesday evening @ 7:00 pm and Saturday morning @ 7:00 am. He has an extensive background in Martial Arts and is a Dahn Master with a 2nd degree blackbelt in DahnMuDo.
WHAT WE OFFER
Basic Yoga, Core Yoga, Alignment Yoga, Ki-gong (Tai Chi) and Martial Arts (DahnMuDo)

Dahn Mu Do and Alignment Yoga.

Dahn Mu Do is our Martial Arts class. It is held on Thursday evenings @ 7:00 pm. 

Dahn.. Refers to Re-align your body;

Developing the coordination of your body to develop the coordination of reality. Recover your health by realigning the structure of your muscles and bones and coordinating their harmonious functions

Mu...Refers to Stabalize your mind.

Utilizing energy not muscle in order to train your internal awareness and allow you to overcome external burden. Recover your happiness by overcoming habits that limit your lifestyle.

Do...Refers to Recover your original brightness.

When mind and body are one there is a great joy and sense of harmony between grace and power. Recover  your peace within through using your internal awareness follow your life purpose.

Alignment Yoga is held on Tuesday evenings @ 7:00 pm and Saturday mornings @ 7:00 am

Alignment yoga is Egoscue method. It is a method that uses simple yet dynamic postures to help correct body alignment. 

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our seasoned instructors!

 

Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include, Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relaxes your body and mind and helps you to recover your center and get grounded. 

Open Class ( OPC )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our seasoned instructors!

Tai Chi and Ki gong ( TNK )

Tai Chi & Ki Gong combine slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a very low-impact exercise with amazing benefits.

Yoga for Seniors ( YFS )

Body & Brain Yoga provides gentle yoga classes to fit the needs of senior citizens who need exrtra care and special instructions to improve their overall well-being.
