Welcome to Pasadena Body & Brain!

 

Healthy Body, Happy Heart, & Power Brain

Body & Brain is a national leader in holistic health and wellness. We have been offering classess in Pasadena since 2006. (Current location on Lake, from 2014) Our classes in yoga, tai chi, meditation, detox, and rhythmic movement combine East Asian healing and energy philosophies. 

Our practice isn't just for your physical health. We focus our exercises, workshops, and programs to also open your mind and heart for rich experiences of inner healing. You will enjoy deep feelings of power, serenity, joy, and emotional stability that ripples effects into all areas of your life. 

Our method is a brain-based approach to comprehensive wellness. Overall health starts with a healthy brain, since it regulates all bodily functions, emotions, and thoughts. We utilize our own 5-step approach to activate the brain through a deep mind-body connection. Your brain is the key!

Instructors
Michelle Moon
Michelle Moon is a master healer of ancient energy practices. For over 17 years, she has been teaching Eastern healing methods that are rooted in the philosophy and principles of Tao. Driven to unearth wisdom in the modern age, Michelle returned to Sedona, AZ in 2017 after spending over 10 years to establish the CGI Holistic Wellness Center as a premier brain education center in the New York and New Jersey area. She was honored to become the Tao Program Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sedona Mago Retreat Center, and committed herself entirely to this collective pursuit. She welcomed visitors from all around the world there. She is certified as a brain education trainer in Heightened Sensory Perception (HSP) with the International Brain Education Association (IBREA). Recently, she became the regional director of Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi for the LA North Region in 2019.
Travis "Dahari" Kronenberg
Dahari is an expert instructor of Korean martial and qi-gong healing arts and teaches yoga, tai chi, and meditation full-time at Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi of Pasadena, CA. With 11 years of experience, he is the head Taichi (Dahnmudo) trainer for the Los Angeles North region of Body & Brain centers. He also has experience guiding actors on set. With a deep understanding of energy principles, he has helped over 1000 people make changes in their physical and mental health, improving their self-confidence and overall well-being.
WHAT WE OFFER
Different flavors across the week

Regular One-Hour Class

At Body & Brain we believe that your body holds all answers. We encourage our practitioners to trust their body’s innate wisdom and therefore do not require a high degree of flexibility, balance, or strength to follow our basic exercises. Our classes accommodate people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels to participate comfortably at their own pace.

 

Our classes vary throughout the week.. A basic class includes deep meridian stretching, joint exercises, core strengthening, meditation, refreshing cool-down, and smiles. Each class lasts about 1 hour.

 

Workshops and Special Classes

We offer a variety of holistic workshops ranging from 2 hours to 2 days locally, and 3 to 7 days out of state (or country!).  The two basic workshops everyone should attend are Initial Awakening and Finding True Self.  Check the monthly schedule for more information and dates.

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our experienced instructors!

 

Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement, this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound, you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relax your body and mind and recover your center to ground your energy. 

Tai Chi and Ki gong ( TNK )

Tai Chi & Ki Gong combines slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a very low-impact exercise with amazing benefits.

Yoga and Ki-gong ( YNK )

This class is a combination of the regular class with a focus on Ki-gong for those who want to get the best of both worlds. You will get your mind and body feeling free and centered as Ki-gong is a powerful training, which helps with energy accumulation, focus, and relaxation.
