Family Healing Center

Stony Point Body&Brain Yoga and Tai Chi Center welcomes members of all ages. We offer a warm nurturing environment for families to practice together or individually. 

Felicia Somma
Felicia started her Body and Brain Practice 10 years ago at the New City Center. Her mission is to give back to the community and humanity by creating a healthier and happier environment for people of all ages to practice. We are a Family Center. Felicia is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist. Her practice includes traditional massage and the Oriental Healing Arts. Felicia is also a Certified Yoga Therapist.we need to address all aspects of our life to Heal. Physically, emotionally and spiritually. Healing begins, when we choose to change.
Rob Somma
With over 30 years working in construction management from direct contributor to Director of the East Coast, Rob has been practicing Body and Brain Yoga for 9 years and teaching for over four years. Rob quickly connected with QiGong/DahnMuDo. Rob currently teaches in Stony Point while continuing his study of DMD, energy principles, meditation & relaxation. Rob has also merged his professional management experience into his current practice as a Certified Holistic Wellness and Life Coach.
Lucy Texidor
Lucy is a Certified Brain Education Instructor, she has been practicing Body and Brain Yoga for over a year. She has been working with children for the past couple of years at a youth group. Lucy is a Certified Reiki therapist. She is a strong believer in natural and Holistic Healing. She has been on this path for over 9 years as part of her own healing process and has found Brain Education and Body and Brain yoga to be an amazing source of healing, and now she wants to spread it to the youth in the community and eventually to other parts of the world.
'Power Brain' Yoga for Kids ( PBK )

One key to the success of Power Brain training is that it utilizes a harmonious, collaborative learning environment co-created by healthy, happy and engaged students along with the Power Brain instructors. It helps develop children physically with yoga and tai chi training within an environment which places highest value on character development and social-emotional wellness.

The students will benefit by increasing their physical power and mental power, as well as, emotional regulation. Each class is designed to strengthen the body, balance brain function and awaken latent brain potential. The classes are fun, engaging and help foster a sense of cooperation between the students.

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our experienced instructors!


Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement, this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound, you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relax your body and mind and recover your center to ground your energy. 

Tai Chi ( TAI )

Tai Chi incorporates slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a low-impact martial art with amazing benefits.
