It’s the Holiday Season!

For many people, this is a season of trips, reunions, gifts, and parties. Ideally, the holidays are filled with warmth and cheer. But like most things in life, the joys can also bring stress, leaving nearly three-fourths of Americans feeling more anxious during the holiday season.

How can we flip the script and actually enjoy what’s supposed to be the ‘best time of the year?'

Think about the  time, energy, and money you invest in your loved ones. You want them to be happy, healthy, and peaceful. But if you’re like most people, you might find yourself in one of these categories:

1. You give your best to show your loved ones you care but most of the time people don’t seem to appreciate it.
2. You used to give all your energy to others, but got burned out, so now you limit the energy you give.
3. You actively dislike spending time with friends and family because it makes you anxious, irritable, or depressed.

This may sound like a pretty bleak way of looking at the holidays. But for many people, it’s a reality.

But take heart, there is an option #4...

Rather than just resign yourself to the idea that the holidays will be stressful, take a look at what you’re bringing to the table.

These days a lot of people talk about setting boundaries so as not to get burned out.

There’s a good idea, but the bottom line is that human beings want to share. Boundaries are only satisfying when they allow us to give more. Otherwise, they just keep us isolated and empty.

Here’s the key: invest in yourself.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM YOURSELF TO BE HAPPY, HEALTHY, and PEACEFUL?

Before you expect anything from the world (including friends and family), check your relationship with yourself…

Are you caring towards yourself?
Do you listen to yourself?
Do you encourage yourself?
Do you challenge yourself?

If you strengthen these aspects of your self-care, you’ll probably notice changes in the way you interact with others.

But changing your relationship with yourself means breaking free from the normal way of seeing yourself. It means seeing through layers of thoughts, emotions, and habits to discover a new you.

If that sounds good, then it’s time to consider investing in a workshop or retreat.

When you attend a Body & Brain workshop you’ll discover insights that can help change your life more than the latest smartphone or lifestyle app. You’ll learn mindfulness techniques and principles that support personal growth and success. Here are some of the ways in which Body & Brain workshops help you to grow:

Self-development

Workshops challenge you to dig deep and push past your limits, resulting in a new awareness and a positive attitude towards obstacles.

Learn to stay calm

During and after workshops, you will learn techniques to manage stress and sharpen your concentration. This is especially important when you want to apply the benefits of your practice in the real world.

Meet like-minded people

Workshops unite people from all over who share the same interests and goals as you do! This is a great opportunity to build a sense of community, support networks, and genuine friendships.

Share your knowledge

Through your own experience of self-development and mindfulness, you’ll gain the confidence to help others. With the techniques, tools, and principles you learn, you’ll not only be able to give more, but you’ll also be able to help others to help themselves. It truly is a gift that keeps on giving.

This month, Body & Brain is offering 20% off workshops. It’s a great opportunity for you to invest in yourself. And, if you value the idea of self-care, don’t be shy about encouraging someone else to take some time for themselves.

According to a recent study, 63% of U.S. adults (ages 18 – 65+) would prefer to receive an experiential gift rather than a material gift this holiday season.

50% of U.S. adults plan to give experiential gifts this year.

Contact your local Body & Brain center and speak with one of the instructors there about upcoming workshops and how they might help you or a loved one.

Workshops that are 20% off until November 29th, 2019 include:

Initial Awakening, Finding True self, Regional IBEL Workshops, Regional Workshop with Special Visiting Trainers, Brain Management Training, Energy Healing Course, DahnMuDo, Dahn Master Course, and Solar Body System Training.

During the next few months be sure to count your blessings, express gratitude, and don’t forget to take care of yourself!
