A year ago, my friend Martha brought me to my first Body and Brain Yoga class. I left after about twenty minutes- had no idea how someone could stay in class for over an hour. Patience was not one of my virtues. My friend coaxed me to come again. This time I stayed a little longer and realized that there was something here that I needed, but I was still resistant.
Fast forward a year later. I am literally a different person and I have Master Elena, who is a true healer and her yoga classes to thank. I attend three to four classes a week. Each one is slightly different, which makes it more interesting, fun and probably better for our bodies.
I know that no matter how I am feeling when I walk into class- whether I'm upset, agitated, crabby, jumpy, tense, or unfocused, I will walk out feeling rejuvenated, calm, centered and peaceful.
I am now getting regular exercise, am learning how to tune into my body, am becoming much more flexible, and am feeling a lot better about myself. What a gift this class has been to me! I recommend it to everyone I know!
