Holistic Health & Wellness

Body & Brain Yoga is a national leader in holistic wellness and integrative lifestyle education.  Our mission is to empower individuals by activiatng the brain's natural ability to create health and happiness. Kathleen Tierney
Kathleen found Body & Brain Yoga at a time when life's struggles had taken their toll on her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She decided to make changes in her life and vowed to take charge of her health and life. Taking classes and workshops at Body & Brain helped her connect more with herself and helped her learn how to manage stress, emotions, and an over-thinking brain. As an instructor, she enjoys sharing what she has experienced with others: Health, Happiness, and Peace!
MuYoung (Leslie) Lewis
I was a corporate manager and had a great deal of stress in my job. I was overweight and not able to loose at all. I had been taking anti depression and anxiety mediations for over 10 years. It was suggested to me that I learn to meditate.

I came in a joined as a member, 6 years ago. Within 3 months, I was no longer taking my medications. I have lost a total of 90 pounds. My ability to teach this practice is a statement to the methods used being adaptable to everyone. My classes are challenging but can be done by any body condition.

I am a certified Body and Brain instructor and healer and health coach. I have attended training at our training center in Sedona AZ and learned from the top masters of this practice in America. I have retired from a 40 year career in corporate America to become a health coach. Each student requires a unique approach to address what concerns or desires they have.
WHAT WE OFFER
Effective Classes for Real People

Body & Brain Classes offer a brain-oriented holistic approach to health and provides members with tools for living mindfully and creating a balanced lifestyle. 

All classes include 1) Stretching to increase flexibility and strength and improve circulation and alignment: 2) Meditation to help our members learn to relax and shift their focus away from busy thoughts through Brain Wave vibration and other moving meditation; and 3) Deep breathing exercises and breathing postures to recharge the body and clear the mind. 

Tai Chi/Kigong classes rebalance your body through meditative movement, which helps one to keep a peaceful, confident mind in the face of stress.

Special Classes and Workshops offer opportunities to deepen your experience and understanding of the principles and practices of Body & Brain Yoga and Tai Chi.  These Classes and Workshops will help you maximize benefits and maintain  positive lifestyle changes. 

Private Instruction is also available so we can work with you one-on-one to create a custumized program that meets your individual needs and goals.

Body & Brain Yoga (All levels) ( BBY )

Body & Brain Yoga's regular classes are great for all levels and ages! Each class has effective and dynamic components of stretching, breathing, and meditation to destress, strengthen, and relax the mind and body. You will definitely feel refreshed and energized even after just one fun session guided by our seasoned instructors!

 

Core Strengthening ( COR )

Core Strengthening class emphasizes our inner abdominal muscles related to supporting the flexibility and strength of our organs, hips, the breathing diaphragm, and back. In this class, we combine Belly Button Healing, Intestinal (Abdominal) Exercises with Meridian Stretches and Core Energy Breathing postures to increase circulation to help strengthen our immune system and improve our gut health. This class includes deep stretching, core breathing, relaxation and meditation for chakra health and balance.

Energy Movement ( VIB )

With rhythmic energy movement this class creates vibrations in the body to rebalance the energy of the brain. This class will include, Dahn Mu (moving energy meditation), tapping, vibration, dancing, breathing, and meditation. Through rhythm and sound you will release stress and body tension and bring your brain into a calm and meditative state. Relaxes your body and mind and helps you to recover your center and get grounded. 

Tai Chi and Ki gong ( TNK )

Tai Chi & Ki Gong combine slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises to help your circulation, balance, and alignment while restoring energy. This is a very low-impact exercise with amazing benefits.

Yoga and Ki-gong ( YNK )

This class is a combination of the regular class with a focus on Ki-gong for those who want to get the best of both worlds. You will get your mind and body feeling free and centered as Ki-gong is a powerful training, which helps with energy accumulation, focus, and relaxation.
