The Essence of Yoga in Body Brain

This phrase is an essential element in the Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi practice. It is also a gateway for connecting your mind and body together. Body & Brain training is designed to develop mastership of the body and mind through the medium of energy, which is the means of communication between the two. In our practice, we regard the brain as the central control system for our whole body and its energy system. Through the various Body & Brain programs, practitioners can learn to utilize their brain fully toward the creation of a better life for themselves and those around them.

Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi Is Comprised of Four Comprehensive Stages

The first component of our training is Meridian Stretching. Used primarily as preparation for more intense activities, it loosens the upper body and strengthens the lower body. It uses stretches to relax the muscles and open the joints, the effect is both increased strength and flexibility.

The second step is Meditative Breathing, which combines sequential static postures with focused breathing. This practice facilitates energy accumulation and proper energy circulation throughout the chakras and meridians.

The third category is our signature Tai Chi training, DahnMuDo. It is a combination of Eastern Energy Principles and traditional Korean healing martial arts. Practitioners train the basic foot and hand movements of Tai Chi and learn to strengthen the body's energy system through proper breathing and mental concentration. The discipline required of the training relaxes the brain and helps develop personal character and integrity. The emphasis on lower body training increases one's balance and physical power.

The fourth stage of Body & Brain involves Energy Meditation. You will experience a great stillness of mind while increasing sensitivity to the movement and flow of Ki energy. This practice eventually allows participants to re-create their lives with intention by infusing the mind with positive thoughts, feelings and imagery.
